About Us
A family standard.
Majid Foods was built on a simple belief: that every Muslim family deserves access to high-quality, certified halal meat — without compromise, without inconvenience, and without paying a premium for something that should be a given. We are a South Florida-based halal delivery company on a mission to change that.
How it started
Majid Foods didn't start with a business plan. It started with a phone call. In 2023, we were operating as wholesalers — buying directly from processing plants and selling to grocery stores. The margins were razor thin, the volumes were low, and it was clear the model wasn't built to last.
Then a friend's mother asked if she could buy chicken from us directly. In that moment, something became obvious: we could charge her less than what she'd pay at the store, earn more than what we made selling to retailers, and cut out every middleman in between. That was the eureka moment.
But more than that, it was personal. For years, our family had struggled to find certified halal, hand-cut meat in South Florida. The options were scarce, the availability was inconsistent, and when you did find it, it was expensive. We knew we weren't alone. The idea of bringing all of those customers — scattered across individual stores — into one community we could serve directly, with delivery straight to their door, was something that simply didn't exist here. So we built it.
We could charge her less than the store, earn more than we made from retailers, and cut out every middleman. That was the moment Majid Foods was born.
Arman Majid, Co-FounderThe people behind it
Co-Founder & CEO
I've been working in food my entire life. I started in the restaurant industry at 15, became a manager by 20, an owner by 21, and a franchisee by 23. Every stage taught me something different — how to serve customers, how to run operations, how to lead a team under pressure.
In 2020, we acquired an ice cream distribution business that gave me a deep understanding of cold chain logistics, distribution networks, and the complexity of getting perishable products to customers reliably. That business is still running today, and those lessons are woven into everything we do at Majid Foods.
Food and business are inseparable for our family. My father and uncle are restauranteurs and caterers. My grandfather owned a biscuit factory. My great-grandfather traded sugar and other commodities between India and China, and across Asia. This is what we do — and Majid Foods is our generation's contribution to that legacy, and to this community.

Behind every decision Majid Foods makes, there is a standard — and that standard is Shaan's. As a Quran Hafiz, a teacher, and the treasurer of his local masjid, Shaan brings a depth of Islamic knowledge to this business that cannot be manufactured. His guidance ensures that everything we do — from the suppliers we choose to the certifications we accept — is held to a genuine halal standard, not just a commercial one.
Shaan graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Political Science, bringing the analytical rigour and principled thinking that keeps our business grounded. Where Arman's experience drives growth, Shaan's knowledge provides the compass. Together, they form a combination that is both commercially effective and deeply rooted in integrity.
Arman brings the business. Shaan brings the standard. That balance is what makes Majid Foods different.

Where we're going
Right now, we serve the South Florida community — a community we know well and one that has long been underserved when it comes to quality halal options. We're here to change that locally, and then take that same model everywhere it's needed.
Our next steps are Orlando, Atlanta, and the Carolinas — expanding our reach across the Southeast to bring local delivery to more families, reduce shipping costs, and grow the community we serve. After that, we have a simple goal: a presence in every major metropolitan city in the country.
As we grow, we'll continue expanding our product line — sourcing more halal products our customers need, and eventually launching our own branded line to further cement Majid Foods as the number one name in halal meat across America.
